September Board Report
The Board Report is a summary of board meetings conducted by directors of the Aspley Hornets intended to provide information to club members every month as to the board’s workings.
The board welcomed Daniel Webster in initial proceedings of the meeting to discuss the plan for 2022 and the boards excitement at his re-appointment and planning for 2022.
- The Board Ratified the Appointment of Daniel Webster for 2022 QAFL Head Coach
- The Board commended the efforts of the football department in retaining the core of the VFL squad and the QFA players to strengthen the club community for 2022.
- The Board have set in motion for additional support to the football operations department including match day support, coaching coordinator, and managers
- The Board Commended our Junior Director, Bevan Dunlop and Football Operative, Matt Argus on the outstanding efforts and running of the junior presentation days. It was a terrific event and commentary from players, parents, coaches and volunteers was resounding.
The Club are currently investigating asset upgrades to occur during the football break and will action over the coming months to improve the comfort and safety of our patrons.
Our General Manager, Danni Francis and Board Member, Damian Cavanagh, attended the Clubs QLD Parliamentary Dinner which was an opportunity to meet with our local government representatives and other club managers for a night of networking and strategic planning in the industry.
At the Board Table
The club is currently applying for lighting upgrade grants for the Brendale Sporting Facility to assist with the growth of the clubs junior and senior program to assist with fixture scheduling.
The 2022 Sponsorship Prospectus is currently being finalized and will be issued to all members and corporate entities that would like to partner with the club for 2022 and beyond.
The board recognises that it is here to ensure the successful management of the club for the members. Any member wishing to provide feedback for consideration by the board can do so by sending correspondence via the club secretary.
