Aspley Hornets U12 boys Calen “Scrubber” Harrop & Lachie O’Dwyer have just returned from the School Sports National AFL carnival in Canberra.
They played all state & territory teams across the first 4 days then the teams were split based on their win loss ratio. After the initial rounds the Queenslanders made pool A and came up against Victoria, South & West Australia. The boys won two of the three games only losing to AFL heavy weights Victoria positioning them as the silver medallists for the overall carnival. This was the best result for a QLD U12 team in 20 years.
